This year’s St. Croix Food and Wine Experience featured two amazing Cork and Fork Dinner locations. The Cohen Estate in historic Frederiksted, one of the two breathtaking locations, had just emerged from a four-year restoration that was overseen by Stephanie Hodge. The owner of the Cohen Estate is Stephanie and Caryn’s cousin, Marisol Cohen. The Cohen home sits on Strand Street in Frederiksted looking over the breathtaking waterfront. With Stephanie as the most gracious host, local guests and visitors enjoyed the intimate setting at the estate. Chef Tony Castellucci, Sous Chef Gregg Encarnacion, and culinary juniors prepared a delectable six-course meal for guests, while seasoned vintners paired each culinary masterpiece with the perfect wine. Guests were able to indulge in dishes like pigeon pea bisque w/ plantain crisps and crème fraiche and braised local short ribs in lemongrass w/ ginger and chilies on top of mashed mix of sweet and savory plantains with a creamy coconut sauce. The culinary team created nouvelle Crucian cuisine that delighted the guests.

The second Cork and Fork Dinner location was at the beautiful Great House at Catherine’s Hope. Chef Kevin Fonzo and local Chef Digby Stridiron amazed the taste buds of the guests at that location. Stephanie sold that property to its current owner, ushering them into the world of owning timeless property on St. Croix. It’s wonderful to weave our business into doing good for such a worthy cause. We think our clients appreciate not just the quality of our work, but the way we connect them to the community.
